Internationalization and growth have defined IPG Automotive’s business strategy for many years. And the company’s success speaks for itself: The solution provider for virtual test driving based in Karlsruhe is experiencing continued growth.
In recent years, the number of employees has not only swelled in Germany. In Japan as well, many new employees and the goal to strengthen the company’s presence in the Asian market have necessitated a search for a new office space in Tokyo for the subsidiary IPG Automotive K.K.
Established in 2014, the subsidiary moved to its new office on the 9th floor of a high-rise in Minato City, Tokyo with its current team of fifteen on August 1, 2017. “We now have more space for workshops and training courses on our simulation solutions and can offer optimal support to our national clients,” Masanori Kobayashi, Managing Director of IPG Automotive K.K., said with enthusiasm. The premises also offer ample space for new employees. This was a prerequisite since “a growing number of national and international automotive manufacturers and suppliers rely on the use of our software and hardware solutions to support their development processes which are becoming increasingly complex. Our products make the development effort manageable and enable users to save time and costs,” explained Managing Director of IPG Automotive GmbH, Steffen Schmidt. For IPG Automotive, this entails the continuous development of international networks and continued growth in the future.
In addition to the Asian locations in Japan, Korea and China, the internationalization strategy of IPG Automotive GmbH also encompasses the market in France and North America. The subsidiary IPG Automotive USA, Inc. is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan; IPG Automotive France SARL is located in Paris. The Karlsruhe-based company thus ensures close proximity to its clients and on-site support.
